Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has expressed hope that negotiations between Iran and the United States will conclude with positive news today.<\/p>\n
Fidan said discussions are underway on the mechanism, terms and timeframe for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.<\/p>\n
“It is important that an agreement is reached on a transition period. Oil supplies must continue to flow to prevent a rise in global oil and energy prices. At the same time, this would lay the groundwork for reaching a long-term agreement,” the Turkish foreign minister said.<\/p>\n
According to Fidan, the parties are discussing a 60-day transition period.<\/p>\n
