Trade turnover between Armenia and Russia is declining sharply, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk has said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Overchuk, bilateral trade fell by two-thirds in 2026 compared with 2025 levels and is expected to continue declining.<\/p>\n

“The current developments in relations between the EAEU and Armenia were predictable. Over the past three to four years, we have been warning our Armenian partners about such risks, particularly the risk of a decline in trade turnover,” Russia’s deputy PM said.<\/p>\n

“Trade turnover between Russia and Armenia reached a record high of nearly $12 billion in 2024, which was an enormous figure. Last year, it declined to around $8 billion. This year, trade turnover is falling sharply — it has dropped by about two-thirds compared with 2025 levels.
