US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has announced that the Trump administration is moving to a “financial offensive” against Iran.<\/p>\n

According to Bessent, the period in which Tehran presented “extortion as security guarantees” is finally over.<\/p>\n

“We are now entering the endgame. At dawn begins an economic D-Day — the single greatest financial offensive ever marshaled against an adversary,” Bessent wrote<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n

He added that the US intends to cut Tehran off from all sources of revenue and resources.<\/p>\n
