The rules of the EU and the EAEU are incompatible, and the resulting contradictions would harm Armenia itself, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, according to RIA Novosti<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He added that Yerevan would have to make a choice.<\/p>\n

“After submitting its application, Armenia will have to begin the process of bringing its legislation in various areas — trade, phytosanitary regulations, customs and others — into line with EU standards. These standards are incompatible with those adopted in our country and within the EAEU,” Peskov said.<\/p>\n
