The United States has expended too many weapons during its conflict with Iran, leaving Washington in a difficult position, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said at an event hosted by the Hampton Institute.<\/p>\n
“We have expended so much ammunition in Iran, and we have certainly sent large quantities of ammunition to our allies in the Gulf. So we are in a difficult position because we cannot adequately respond to unexpected threats. We have dug ourselves into a deep hole,” she said.<\/p>\n
US media have previously reported that American weapons stockpiles have fallen to record-low levels amid the conflict with Iran.
