Armenia is not consulting its EAEU allies on preparations for joining the European Union, Mikael Aghasandyan, director of the First CIS Department at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, told RIA Novosti<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“We see significant risks associated with Armenia’s legally mandated preparations for EU accession. Notably, the Armenian authorities are carrying out these preparations without any consultations with their EAEU allies,” Aghasandyan said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, said<\/a>: “Armenia should stop pursuing a deceptive policy of seeking to join the European Union while continuing to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Eurasian Economic Union.”<\/p>\n
