Armenia’s potential introduction of a visa regime for Russian citizens would be a move directed not against Moscow, but against Yerevan itself, stated Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson<\/a> Maria Zakharova at the Eastern Economic Forum.<\/p>\n

“If Armenia suddenly introduces visas, it will not be doing this against us – it will be doing this against its own citizens,” Zakharova said.<\/p>\n

She emphasized that such a decision will also affect Russian citizens who have a large number of relatives in Armenia.<\/p>\n
