As human rights defenders and various organizations state,
\nthe number of political prisoners in Armenia is about 50. They are kept in prison
\nfor merely expressing their opinion. Among them are two commanders of the RA
\nArmed Forces, namely Grigory Khachaturov and Mikayel Arzumanyan, and Former
\nDefense Minister of Armenia Davit Tonoyan. They are accused of having committed
\nvarious crimes. However, their advocates note that this is nothing but
\npolitical persecution. Holding commanders of the Armenian army in custody was
\nsomething Azerbaijan longed for as well. Why are the former high-ranking
