Bulldozers dumped piles of debris atop the old<br>\nGhazanchetsots cemetery, endangering the already fragmented tombstones.&nbsp;<p><\/p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The location of the cemetery is confirmed by maps, publications,<br>\nand recent photographs. The 18-19th century cemetery had been seriously damaged<br>\nin the Soviet period.<p><\/p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">By the 1990s, 45 tombstones remained in the cemetery. One of<br>\nthem dated back to 1758, marking the passing of Stepan, a blacksmith from<br>\nGhazanchi village in Nakhijevan.<p><\/p><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; \">Since November 2020, this is the sixth Armenian cemetery<br>\ndamaged.
