Today is the 17th anniversary of Hrant Dink’s assassination. The Turkish-Armenian journalist was the founder and editor-in-chief of Agos, the only Turkish-Armenian newspaper coming out in Turkey. Dink’s goal was to make the 1915 genocide known to the world and to normalize the relations between the Armenian and Turkish peoples. Dink raised the problems facing the ethnic minorities in Turkey as well. Seventeen years ago on this day, Dink was assassinated outside the office of Agos.<\/span><\/p>\n
