Armenia has de facto already withdrawn from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov told TASS.<\/p>\n
“We send documents to Armenia for domestic approval, just as we do to all other member states. On each issue, we receive a response stating that the Armenian side does not participate in discussions or decision-making on the matter but does not object to decisions being adopted in a limited format. In other words, they do not obstruct our work. Our work continues, and we make decisions. They receive weekly briefings but do not participate in our main events, exercises, and similar activities.<\/p>\n
Therefore, I believe that Article 25 of the CSTO Charter is particularly relevant here. It stipulates that when membership fees are not paid and quota-based positions are left unfilled, the right to vote is forfeited. In effect, they have already withdrawn on their own,” he noted.<\/p>\n
