Yet, today, Facebook, Instagram, and Threads continue to permit the open denial, distortion, and minimization of another historical atrocity: the Armenian Genocide.<\/p>\n<p>According to Geremi, this selective enforcement creates a dangerous hierarchy of human suffering. By shielding some historical truths while leaving others vulnerable to state-sponsored erasure, social media platforms become complicit in the ongoing trauma of survivor communities.<\/p>\n<p>&rdquo;The denial of one genocide should never be treated differently from the denial of another. All victims deserve equal dignity and protection from historical revisionism,&rdquo; the author writes.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized, that the International Association of Genocide Scholars has repeatedly affirmed that the academic consensus is absolute. To allow the denial of this consensus on global communication networks is to facilitate a continuous assault on historical truth.
