The Turkish parliament has approved Sweden’s membership in NATO with 287 votes in favor, 55 against.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many NATO members had earlier ratified Sweden’s and Finland’s membership, but Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan decided to delay the process and instead approve each country’s membership separately.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result, Finland completed the NATO membership process in April of last year, while Sweden has not completed it yet.<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, only Hungary has not ratified Sweden’s bid.<\/span><\/p>\n
