Although the conflict has since seen a lull in fighting, it remains unresolved, with the risk of renewed hostilities still looming.<\/p>\n<p>Tehran previously said it had presented Washington with a seven-point proposal, including options for reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for lifting the naval blockade and restrictions on Iranian oil exports.
