<\/b>Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg has welcomed Hungary’s willingness to approve Sweden’s membership in NATO. <\/span><\/p>\n

“I welcome the clear message from Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his government. I hope Hungary will ratify Sweden’s membership in NATO,” the alliance’s secretary general said, noting that he had a telephone conversation with Orban. <\/span><\/p>\n

Stoltenberg also thanked the Turkish Parliament and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for approving Sweden’s membership in the alliance.<\/span><\/p>\n
