Farmers staging a protest in Brussels made bonfires in the city center, RIA Novosti’s correspondent in Brussels says.<\/span><\/p>\n

They lit a bonfire outside the building of the European Parliament. The police blocked the entrance to the Parliament.<\/span><\/p>\n

The situation keeps stable; the police only at times try to put out the fire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Farmer protests have recently gained momentum in France and beyond its borders. There are strikes in Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

The farmers’ protests are about the increase in fuel prices and the drop in incomes on account of the grain import from Ukraine and bureaucracy.<\/span><\/p>\n
