The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has come into effect

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said on Thursday that
\nthe hostage and prisoner exchange ceasefire between Israel and Hamas will be a
\nbrief truce, after which the war will continue for at least two months.<\/p>\n

“This will be a brief pause, which will be followed by
\nintense fighting, and we will pressure the enemy into releasing even more
\nhostages. Fighting is expected to continue for at least two months,” Haaretz
\nreports, citing the Israeli defense minister.

To remind, the military wing of Palestinian Hamas, Izz
\nad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed that the four-day humanitarian ceasefire
\nwould go into effect on Friday morning, as the Qatari Foreign Ministry had
\nannounced earlier.

“Fifty hostages will be released within four days,” a
\nrepresentative of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades noted.
