Before the possible visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia needs to be given certain assurances from its Armenian partners regarding its membership in the International Criminal Court (ICC). Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said this to the press.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We have already said that Armenia’s accession to this international organization cannot but adversely affect our bilateral relations. Of course, in this case, it is very important for us to be given certain assurances from our Armenian partners. That issue still needs to be settled within a bilateral dialogue, which we are disposed to hold,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

To remind, earlier, in an interview to The Telegraph, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Russian President Vladimir Putin does not need his advice on visiting Armenia regarding Yerevan’s ratification of the Rome Statute.<\/span><\/p>\n
