On Nov. 13, French daily newspaper Ouest-France announced
\nthat official Paris provided Yerevan with Bastion armored personnel carriers.
\nThe number is not specified, but we can assume from the published photos that
\nit is more than 20. Later, Russian newspaper Voyennoye Obozreniye (Военное
\nобозрение) also referred to this deal. Both sources made the same claim: the
\narmored carriers were originally meant for the Ukrainian army. However, at the
\nlast moment, Ukraine rejected the deal. News came that they were delivered to
\nUkraine and arrived in Yerevan from there.

These armored carriers are quite famous in the world and
\nhave extensive experience in solving problems in hotspots. The carrier is manufactured
\nby French manufacturer ACMAT. It consists of 3,500 parts. Its major advantage
\nis that its spare parts can be obtained easily. Since 2021, the carrier has
\nbeen manufactured for the U.S. army as well, as an ambulance in hotspots. It
\nweighs 12.5 tons; all four wheels are pulling. It works in two modes: with a
\nclosed body as an armored personnel carrier and with an open body, intended for
\nspecial purpose armored vehicles. It is versatile and can be used as a truck or
\na mobile command post.
