During the meeting of the Yerevan Council of Elders, Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced two major decisions. The upper part of Yerevan’s Cascade Complex was returned to the municipality; the construction of that part has been unfinished since the Soviet years.<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to ABC media’s<\/strong> inquiry, Municipality Spokesperson Hayk Kostanyan noted that the territory was previously under the balance sheet of the Cafesjian Museum Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under another decision, Kanaz cultural center has been returned to the municipality. It has been, in fact, seized from Hrant Tokhatyan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The thing is that in 2017, by the decision of the Yerevan Council of Elders, this cultural center was given to the Art Alphabet Foundation, owned by Hrant Tokhatyan, for a period of 10 years. However, seven years later now, it has been taken back.<\/span><\/p>\n
