Moscow has heard the statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the possibility of Armenia’s exit from the CSTO; there is still a lot of work to be done; talks are needed to clarify the situation, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said this.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Pashinyan announced that Armenia would leave the CSTO if the organization did not answer the questions raised by Yerevan regarding the country’s sovereign territory.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Of course, we heard those statements. Obviously, there is still a lot of work to be done; we need talks with our Armenian partners both within the CSTO and at the bilateral level; we will clarify everything and talk in line with the statements made by Mr. Prime Minister,” the Kremlin spokesperson said to the press.<\/span><\/p>\n

In response to the question as to what the CSTO thinks about Pashinyan’s statements, Peskov noted that the Kremlin cannot speak on behalf of the organization. “Of course, certain work needs to be done within the framework of the CSTO,” he concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
