Former French Minister of Culture and Communication Frédéric Mitterrand has died at the age of 76, Agence France-Presse reports, making reference to Mitterrand’s family.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mitterrand is said to have died at his home in Paris after a several-month battle against cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was the cousin of Former French President François Mitterrand, who ruled France from 1981 to 1995. In 2009–2012, Mitterrand Jr. served as minister of Culture in the Sarkozy administration.<\/span><\/p>\n
