Turkey may deploy S-400 surface-to-air missile systems bought from Russia along the border with neighboring Iraq, Turkish newspaper Türkiye reports.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the newspaper, the process of deploying the S-400 systems in the nearby regions may be sped up after the end of the Muslim holiday.<\/span><\/p>\n

As reported, Turkey has finished working out plans for a cross-border operation in northern Iraq, aiming to clear the area of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party militants and to station military and rear-guard units there.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the newspaper, the operation may be carried out after the Turkish president’s visit to Iraq, scheduled for April 22.<\/span><\/p>\n
