Turkey is considering the possibility of applying to the
\nInternational Criminal Court (ICC) to start a legal process to recognize Israel
\nas a war criminal for crimes committed in the Gaza Strip, the Turkish media
\nwrites.

As noted, the issue of applying to the ICC was discussed on
\nNov. 7 at the committee meeting of the Justice and Development Party. Turkish
\nPresident Recep Tayyip Erdoğan chaired the meeting.

The meeting discussed Turkey’s initiatives aimed at settling
\nthe Israeli–Palestinian conflict. These initiatives will be discussed on Nov.
\n12, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the summit of the Organization of Islamic
\nCooperation.

As Turkish Yeni Şafak reports, Erdoğan has noted that if the
\nsummit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation “does not produce the
\nexpected result, we will need to arrange a broader meeting and to launch
\nanother diplomatic attack to reach a conflict settlement in the Gaza Strip”.
