The criminal prosecution for counterattack brought against
\nFormer Commander of the Artsakh Defense Army J. Harutyunyan on Oct. 7, 2020 has
\nbeen terminated. Harutyunyan has been exculpated. Advocate Arsen Sardaryan said

“With about 306-page expert opinion, 11 professional
\nmilitary experts unanimously confirmed that there was no corpus delicti in
\nJalal Harutyunyan’s actions with regard to counterattack. Harutyunyan was alert
\nand competent in his actions of counterattack.

Although it becomes clear from the above-mentioned expert
\nopinion that J. Harutyunyan cannot be accused of the losses caused by the enemy
\nattack on the D-20 division of the Tsor military unit on Oct. 12, 2020, and
\nthat the responsibility entirely falls on the command of the D-20 division, the
\ncriminal prosecution in this regard has not been terminated, which is, in fact,
\nrather worrying,” Sardaryan said.
