Sculptor, designer and artist Arman Nur has also joined the Tavush for the Homeland movement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“This movement is existential in nature; this is the movement aimed to save our nation, because we are teetering on the brink of annihilation. Never before have I participated in a march or demonstration. This is the only movement that I trust; I understand that this is the only way out; the only foothold that we can have at the moment, because we are drowning, but we are not conscious of it. They are annihilating us, but we are not conscious of that, very much like in 1915, when they were slaughtering us,” Arman Nur told ABC media<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The artist called for unity.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We must be a <\/span>nation<\/span><\/i>, not a <\/span>people<\/span><\/i>. Never dare to call the Armenian nation a <\/span>people<\/span><\/i>, because the concept of a <\/span>people <\/span><\/i>is baseless; we are a <\/span>nation<\/span><\/i>. This is what makes us different from all other peoples. We are a <\/span>nation<\/span><\/i>, and there are very few nations in the world,” Arman Nur said.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, he has lost hope because the nation has become inert and tired.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We have not been united by the spiritual; we have not had a spiritual movement; this is the first time that the spiritual has risen up and is trying to save the country. We have always put up a struggle out of a grievance, not for a lofty idea. It is grievances that have always united our people, while a nation must be united by a goal and by a national ideology. That’s why this is a unique movement; that’s why I’m here, and it couldn’t be otherwise,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the artist, the ultimate goal of the movement is to save Armenians.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I want Armenians to get stronger and to become a unity, to become one. This may sound like a utopian vision, but one cannot help believing in ideals, or he will perish,” Arman Nur concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
