In response to the inquiry of the Azerbaijani media, the press service of the U.N. said that António Guterres, the organization’s secretary-general, is closely following the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Guterres welcomed the agreement reached on April 19 on border delimitation.<\/span><\/p>\n

“He called on the parties to continue the delimitation and demarcation of the remaining parts of the border and to settle all existing bilateral issues in order to achieve a full normalization of relations. It is encouraging that Azerbaijan and Armenia continue to work on a peace treaty. We hope that the meeting of foreign ministers in Almaty on May 10–11 will be followed by further constructive cooperation to decide the remaining issues,” the organization said.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
