Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, on Independence Day, expressing confidence that Moscow and Baku will continue to develop effective cooperation in all fields and channel efforts in regional affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Putin said that the promotion of cooperation between the two countries is in the interests of their friendly peoples and is consistent with the strengthening of security and stability in the South Caucasus and the Caspian Sea.<\/span><\/p>\n
