During the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations hearing
\non the issue of providing additional $106 billion to the U.S. national security
\nsector, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken mentioned Armenia among the
\ncountries receiving aid, Voice of America reports.

“This allocation will allow us to address dire humanitarian
\nneeds, caused by autocrats and terrorists, as well as by the conflicts and
\nnatural disasters in Ukraine, Gaza, Sudan, Armenia and elsewhere around the
\nworld. Food, water, medicine and other essentials must reach Gaza without
\nhindrance. Civilians should not be exposed to danger. The problem further
\ndeteriorates as Hamas is using civilians as human shields. Humanitarian
\nceasefires should be considered,” Blinken said at the hearings presided over by
\nChair of the Senate Appropriations Committee Patty Murray.

Antony Blinken also noted that in the absence of steady flow
\nof humanitarian aid during the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, tensions are
\nlikely to grow.
