At a press briefing, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova referred to the EU Mission in Armenia, calling it paramilitary.<\/span><\/p>\n

“There is no need to look for evidence. It is obvious. The anti-Russian, anti-Azerbaijani and anti-Iranian goals of that mission are becoming more and more obvious.<\/span><\/p>\n

When NATO countries started joining it, everything became clearer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from the destabilization of the military-political situation and the turning of the region into another stage of geopolitical competition, nothing should be expected from such EU initiatives. There was a chance to stabilize the situation, resolve the long-standing crisis, and develop the economy. There was every opportunity; hard work was being done, which was already showing results; but it caused the discontent of the West,” Zakharova noted.<\/span><\/p>\n
