The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) provides
\nhumanitarian aid to the people who have decided to remain in Artsakh after it
\ncame under Azerbaijani control. As RIA Novosti reports, ICRC Director of
\nOperations Martin Schüepp said this.<\/p>\n
“Today, a small number of people stay in their homes, either
\nas they have decided to do so, or as they cannot leave on their own, probably
\nbecause of their advanced age or disabilities. Some of them need medical
\nassistance, others food or water. We do our best to help those who really need
\nhelp, whether it suggests providing water, medicine, or helping them contact
\ntheir family members or get transport,” Schüepp said.
