The Hayakve civil initiative strongly condemns the disproportionate brute force used against unarmed protesters yesterday at the Baghramyan-Demirchyan intersection, including the use of special measures, as a result of which dozens of people were injured and even mutilated, Hayakve said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We particularly condemn the inhumane torture of our colleague Abraham Gasparyan and demand that the culprits be found out and punished.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police Chief Aram Hovhannisyan deserves special condemnation as the person who led the atrocities against people on the spot. Criminal proceedings must inevitably be brought against him as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

After all, Nikol Pashinyan, who is politically responsible for police atrocities and encouraged them from the National Assembly, should resign and be held liable.<\/span><\/p>\n
