The U.S. has invited Georgia to participate in the NATO summit to be held on July 9–11 in Washington, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien said at a press briefing with foreign journalists, TASS writes.<\/p>\n
The diplomat added that the U.S. authorities are very worried about the decisions and rhetoric of a few leaders of the ruling Georgian Dream—Democratic Georgia party.<\/p>\n
According to O’Brien, the actions of the Georgian authorities are incompatible with Tbilisi’s aspirations to join the EU and NATO.<\/p>\n
