“The U.S. has invited Azerbaijan and Armenia to a meeting with partners within the framework of the NATO summit,” O’Brien said.<\/span><\/p>\n

This NATO event is due to be held from July 9 to July 11.<\/span><\/p>\n

At a press briefing in Baku, O’Brien also expressed hope that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan “will have an opportunity to meet soon.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“If this takes place in Washington, we will be happy to receive them in the role and status that we will be able to assume.
