At the Yerevan Council of Elders emergency session, four
\ndeputy mayors have been elected.

Armen Pambukhchyan from the Civil Contract Party has been
\nelected first deputy mayor by a vote of 32 in favor, with five abstentions.
<\/p><\/p>\n
Levon Hovhannisyan and Suren Grigoryan from the Civil
\nContract Party and Sargis Madatyan from the Hanrapetutyun (“Republic”) Party
\nhave also been elected deputy mayors.
<\/p><\/p>\n
The National Progress Party of Armenia boycotted the
\nelection, urging the Public Voice Party to do the same. The Public Voice Party,
\nhowever, participated in the election and abstained from voting.
<\/p><\/p>\n\n
The Mother Armenia Alliance did not attend the emergency
\nsession.
