U.S. President Joe Biden promised that he would resume his re-election campaign at the beginning of next week, Deutsche Welle writes.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the news service, the president is currently at his residence in Delaware and has canceled a number of events after testing positive for COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

The head of the White House has announced his intention to stay in the race amid growing calls from his Democratic colleagues in Congress to drop out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those calls, which began after a disastrous June debate with former U.S. President Donald Trump, have been noticeably intensified since Biden tested positive for COVID-19. <\/span><\/p>\n

“I am looking forward to returning to the election campaign next week to expose the threats of Donald Trump’s agenda and demonstrate the work I’ve done and my vision for America,” Biden told the press.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the U.S. media sources, 32 of the 264 members of the Congressional Democrats are openly against Biden’s participation in the elections. In fact, some Democrats talk about it publicly.<\/span><\/p>\n
