Armenia and Iran have discussed the prospect of building a
\nnew bridge across the Armenian-Iranian border. As Armenpress reports, Iranian
\nMinister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash said this.

Bazrpash said that the Iranian side is ready to share its
\nwide experience in infrastructure construction with friendly Armenia, thus
\nstimulating the process of the North-South Highway construction. According to
\nthe Iranian minister, the existing bridge between Armenia and Azerbaijan can no
\nlonger meet the increasing trade volumes between Armenia and Iran. Thus, Tehran
\nis considering the possibility of building a new bridge. To that end, an
\nagreement has been reached with the Armenian side to set up a working
\ngroup.

Mehrdad Bazrpash also noted that they had quite fruitful
\ndiscussions with the Armenian side, reaching serious agreements on the
\nconstruction of the North-South road.
