Russian President Vladimir Putin met with his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad in the Kremlin last night, TASS writes.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Dear President, I am very happy to see you,” Putin greeted Assad. <\/span><\/p>\n

“We have an opportunity to talk about the entire complex of our relations; we haven’t seen each other for a long time,” the Russian president added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Putin said he would discuss with Assad the situation in the region, which has a tendency to deteriorate; this also applies to Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n
