He noted that such an appalling tragedy — when about 500
\npeople have been killed, let alone the fact of the complete displacement of the
\npeople of Artsakh — gives valid grounds to declare a mourning day.

“However the amount of pain and suffering surrounding us,
\nthe observance of such memorial days or the failure to do so shows the
\nauthorities’ attitude in that regard.

In my opinion, Oct. 29, the 40th day of the war, was the
\nlast chance to declare a day of mourning, which I think should be declared for
\nthree days.
<\/p><\/p>\n
I would like to note that in August 2022 a two-day mourning
\nwas declared in memory of the victims of the blast in Surmalu trade center. The
\nscale of this tragedy was relatively smaller as compared to the current
\nsituation,” Beglaryan wrote.
