Israel will send negotiators on Aug. 15 for a meeting aimed to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

“At the suggestion of the United States and mediators, Israel will send a group for negotiations on Aug. 15 to agree on the details of the agreement implementation, but the venue for negotiations is not yet known,” reads the statement. <\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Egypt, Qatar and the U.S. called on Israel and Palestinian Hamas to resume discussions on the ceasefire on Aug. 14-15.
