Five civilians were killed in the Sarnaghbyur village of
\nAskeran Province. Three of them were schoolchildren who were at school at that
\nmoment. Former Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Director of the Center for Law
\nand Justice “Tatoyan” Foundation Arman Tatoyan said this at his press
\nconference.

He noted that two of the children were brothers: eight- and
\n10-year-old boys.

Presenting the Azerbaijani attack directions on the map,
\nTatoyan showed that Azerbaijan had encircled the settlements.
<\/p><\/p>\n
“Those who did not manage to leave the villages, were either
\ntaken captive or killed. Thus, the possibility of people voluntarily leaving
\ntheir homes cannot be considered,” Tatoyan said, recalling the cases in
\nGetavan, where civilians were killed, injured and captured.

As Tatoyan noted, people were given from half to one hour to
\nflee, and the general picture shows that the Azerbaijani troops had simply
\ndriven people into a corner and made them head for the “exit”.
