Moscow has not officially turned to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) for help.<\/p>\n

There have been no official negotiations or meetings to discuss the situation in Russia’s border regions, the CSTO Secretariat said in response to the request of the Kazakh service of Radio Liberty.<\/a><\/p>\n

It was noted that the issue of using collective forces is decided by consensus. “However, this does not mean that any of the allies cannot cooperate within the framework of bilateral relations,” the CSTO Secretariat noted.<\/p>\n
