On Sept. 2, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Erdogan congratulated Aliyev on the convincing victory of the New Azerbaijan Party in the parliamentary election.<\/span><\/p>\n

Erdogan expressed confidence that the election was held under free and democratic conditions and reflected the “will of the Azerbaijani people”.<\/span><\/p>\n

To remind, on Sept. 1 parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan. The results of 91% of the polling stations show that the ruling New Azerbaijan Party won the majority of votes.<\/span><\/p>\n
