Russia adheres to previous agreements with Tehran regarding Zangezur, and Moscow’s policy in this matter has not changed at all, Sergei Shoigu, the secretary of Russia’s Security Council said <\/a>in a meeting with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the senior Russian security official noted that Moscow supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the country’s three islands in the Persian Gulf.<\/p>\n
