Heavy rains have caused great floods in the south of Poland; the army is engaged in rescue operations.<\/p>\n

“A critical night is ahead; full mobilization is needed,” Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.<\/p>\n

According to local media, the Nisa Bistrica river has overflowed its banks in Klodzko. The entrances to the city were closed, and several hundred residents were evacuated.<\/p>\n

About 4,000 military personnel are engaged in rescue operations. There have been no reports about victims yet.<\/p>\n
