France and the EU have recognized Hamas as a terrorist
\norganization. French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne said this in her speech in
\nthe Senate.

“Hamas is a terrorist organization; both France and the EU
\nconsider it as such. There is no justification for terrorism and barbarism,”
\nBorne said. She noted that Paris is in favor of a peaceful resolution of the
\nconflict in the Middle East, “but it will take time”.
