Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has published an
\narticle entitled ‘The Complete Observance of the Principles of the U.N. Charter
\nand Interdependence is the Key to International Peace and Stability’.<\/p>\n
Among other issues, the Russian Foreign Minister referred to
\nthe situation in Artsakh and the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.<\/p>\n
Lavrov noted that U.S. and EU interference in the relations
\nbetween Azerbaijan and Armenia causes instability. “Brussels, harboring
\ngeopolitical ambitions, imposes its “mediation services” on Azerbaijan and
\nArmenia, thereby destabilizing the South Caucasus with Washington.<\/p>\n
“Now, after the leaders of Yerevan and Baku have settled the
\nissue of recognition of the sovereignty of the two countries, it is time to
\nestablish peace and build up trust. The Russian peacekeeping contingent is
\nready to contribute to this in every way possible,” Lavrov said. <\/p>\n\n
He noted that the Russian peacekeeping contingent based in
\nNagorno-Karabakh is ready to help establish peace in the South Caucasus.
