The Mother Armenia alliance, which stood for the Yerevan

“As the opposition forces have not reached a consensus on
\nthe joint mayoral candidate, pursuant to its announcement, the Mother Armenia
\nalliance will not attend the Council of Elders’ first session scheduled for
\nOct. 10.

The alliance calls on the other opposition forces, that won
\nvotes due to their anti-establishment behavior and rhetoric, to boycott the
\nsession as well, thereby excluding the KP re-election in Yerevan and paving the
\nway for new elections,” reads the statement made by the alliance.
