The peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan should
\nguarantee that the security and the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh will be
\nensured. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said this in his
\ninterview with RBC.

“We proceed from the necessity to clearly define in the
\npeace treaty how the rights and the security of the Armenian population of
\nKarabakh will be ensured. With this regard, we have presented the sides with
\ncertain ideas,” Galuzin said.

He noted that certain mechanisms are needed to facilitate
\nthe further implementation of the provisions of the peace treaty. “We need to
\nfind a mechanism that will not undermine the sovereignty and independence of
\nArmenia and Azerbaijan,” the Russian diplomat said.
