Galuzin: Russia strongly regrets Armenia’s participation in the NATO summit

The Russian side strongly regrets Armenia’s participation in the NATO summit in Washington. As RIA Novosti reports, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin said this.

“Yerevan, instead of showing a constructive approach to discussing concerns, has unfortunately chosen another path. Armenia prefers to promote cooperation with NATO or individual members of the alliance, especially in terms of implementing NATO standards, purchasing weapons or conducting joint combat training activities,” Galuzin said.

According to the Russian deputy foreign minister, by deepening cooperation with those whose aim is the strategic defeat of Russia, “Yerevan is running the risk of seriously destabilizing the South Caucasus.”

Speaking about the security sector, Galuzin noted that Armenia continues to be a member of the CSTO and a party to many bilateral agreements in military and military-technological fields.
